Sweet tooth lovers, brace yourselves! Dr. Shica Little is bringing her signature Southern sweets and custom creations to Dr. Shica’s Bakery, her permanent location at the Westfield Culver City today.
Dr. Shica is a Doctor of Education and a college professor who was laid off from her corporate job during the pandemic – it sounds really depressing, but something amazing came from that! She started selling her red velvet cake and “Almost Famous” brownies at a pop-up shop on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood and her cookies and gourmet dessert boxes even ended up in the top three on Oprah’s Favorite Things out of 15,000 entries. How awesome is that?
Signature cookies (Sprinkle Delight, Hot Chocolate, Gigi’s Chocolate Chip, Vegan Chocolate Chunk and Lemon Drop), Debra’s Red Velvet Cake, Almost Famous brownies, Dr. Shica’s Ice Cream Sandwiches and Sundaes and a full line of vegan desserts are waiting for you at the Westfield Mall in Culver City! Dr. Shica’s Bakery official Grand Opening will be today, on May 20th from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
Dr. Shica’s Bakery will be open every Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, and every Sunday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. They will offer local delivery and curbside pick-up.
