Grand Park’s NYELA returns with Grammy®-nominated Cuban Funk artist Cimafunk and renowned DJ Marques Wyatt topping off the highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve celebration! Powered by The Music Center’s Grand Park team, the West Coast’s largest free New Year’s Eve event will also continue Grand Park’s historic 10th anniversary celebrations when the park’s signature 3D countdown lightshow projected onto L.A.’s iconic City Hall leads revelers into 2023.
With gates opening at 8:00 p.m., the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration will encompass the six city blocks that comprise Grand Park. Global Bass DJ Gingee sets the groove for the nearly five-hour celebration at the Get Down Stage, located in the park’s Block 2 between Grand Avenue and Olive Court with host DJ Banga Brownin, followed by Bhangra/Afrobeat DJ MTooray, Cumbia Latin DJ collective Cumbiatón and world-renowned Marques Wyatt spinning Deep House beats. Grand Park’s Countdown Stage, hosted by DJ Raul Campos in the park’s Block 4 between Hill and Spring Streets, will feature Cumbia Latin Alternative musician San Cha, Electronic Jazz musicians Mark de Clive-Lowe & Friends, dance troupes Versa-Style Dance Company and Kati Hernandez & Kimbambula Cuban Dance and Music Ensemble, and Cimafunk. The celebration will culminate with Grand Park’s signature midnight countdown featuring a stunning 3D visual spectacle projected on L.A.’s iconic City Hall.
Attendees are welcome to enjoy a light bite and dessert for purchase from L.A.’s favorite gourmet food trucks. Alcohol is not permitted and will not be sold at Grand Park.
The event will happen rain or shine. We encourage all our guests to watch the weather reports, and, if necessary come prepared for inclement weather, bringing the appropriate rain gear to stay warm and dry while enjoying all of the event’s amenities.
