This trail steadily climbs from the Los Leones Day Use Trail to the East Topanga Fire Road. As you get higher, there are spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, which is only a couple miles away. The trail weaves through lush vegetation in the canyon and then up into chaparral which is the main vegetation.
This is a moderate 2.6 miles (roundtrip; just 1.3 miles to the top) hike in the Pacific Palisades. It’s challenging for most people, but that doesn’t mean that you have to be in an amazing shape – just be prepared with adequate water and decent health because it isn’t a total walk in the park.

We recommend that you wear sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and bring lots of water and some hiking snacks!

Comfortable shoes are a MUST!
The best part of this hike is the VIEW – at the end of the trail you will be amazed with a view of the Pacific Ocean. There are also a few benches for views of the Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica even a view out to Catalina Island.
Driving instructions:
Drive drive to Los Liones Drive. It’s the second left off Sunset Blvd from the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). If you miss the left, then you’re going to go a little bit before you can turn around. There’s a Fire Station on the corner, so if you see that, you’re in the general area.
