A former Los Angeles Fire Department fire station on Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles, Engine Company Engine Company No. 28 is a restaurant which serves the food based on recipes from American fire houses.<\/p>\n
Housed in a beautifully restored 1912 firehouse, the Engine Company No. 28 has been serving the menu “signature” Meatloaf, New York Steak, Southern-style pan-fried chicken, crab cakes, Cobb salad, and Firehouse chili from 1989.<\/strong><\/p>\n The weekly chef “specials” include fresh grilled fish such as salmon, sea bass and seasonal vegetables.<\/strong> Try their daily soups like corn chowder, chicken tortilla lime, tomato basil, broccoli and many other rotating favorites.<\/p>\n With its mahogany booths, white linen tables, granite bar and original brass fire pole the restaurant is reminiscent of the classic grills of San Francisco and New York.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A post shared by Engine Co.
