Vera’s Heartbeat<\/a><\/strong> proudly presents an evening with Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist Z\u00e9 Renato<\/a><\/strong> featuring John Leftwich<\/strong> and special guests on February 7<\/strong> as part of the Songs a Vera series at Resident. The evening will include songs from Renato’s brilliant career as well as featuring other beloved compositions that are part of his life. Besides being an extraordinary songwriter and guitarist, Z\u00e9 Renato is acclaimed for his beautiful voice, seasoned throughout almost four decades with the vocal and instrumental quartet Boca Livre.<\/p>\n

Z\u00e9 Renato is celebrating almost<\/strong> 50 years of career<\/strong> with the solo album “Quando a Noite Vem” (When the Evening Comes)<\/em> and with the news that Boca Livre has been nominated for Best Latin Pop Album in the 2023 Grammy Awards with the album “Pasieros”<\/strong>, recorded alongside the renowned Panamanian artist Rub\u00e9n Blades<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Marcel Camargo<\/a> & Jessica Jeza<\/a><\/strong> will open the evening with new material from their forthcoming record, which is a mix of original music, Argentine Tangos, Bach pieces, Brazilian Sambas and Jazz Standards, all in reinvented arrangements. Jess and Marcel have been performing as a duo for over ten years, showing a palpable symbiosis that is wonderful to experience in a live setting.<\/p>\n
